Happy Last Year

Happy New Year from Cryptid World

Whether this new year brings about changes or continuation of the same, we hope the path behind you brought happiness and that what stretches before you looks promising. Next week, we’ll give a run down of our 2020 goals for Cryptid World. We are facing a few changes and challenges, but these are simply opportunities in disguise. Bring it on life! We’re ready. Today, we want to discuss the 2019.

It’s Been an Awesome Year – What You Liked

This sight has only been up since June but we’ve had a little over 4,000 views. I don’t think that’s too bad for a couple nobodies. I’ve had fun learning how to optimize the search engines and write posts accordingly, but it’s Mel’s talent that draws people in and encourages them to browse the unique content. We love working as a team.

Something fun. Our most viewed post in 2019 was “The Beast of Bladenboro.” This was August’s Cryptid of the Month. People love their big cats. A close second (non-cryptid related post) was “Life’s Gemstone.” This was a particular favorite of my own and ties in with a big change happening in my life right now. A good change. More on that next week

Over on our Belied Outcast Legends blog, that for all intents and purposes is on hold, we’ve had about 2500 views. The most popular blog post: Tony and Mel: A Love Story. Right behind that was the Loveland Frogman. A favorite cryptid of mine (and apparently others as well).

Our Impression of Last Year

Overall, 2019 has been a good learning-curve year. We’ve taken time to establish our presence and build a small following (well, Mel is killing it on Instagram with over 13K followers, but who’s counting). As we move forward, we have lofty goals, but I’m certain we can carry them out–even with the challenges. Working together as a mother-daughter team is a dream come true. A dream I didn’t realize I had until it was set before us by a series of unfortunate circumstances. But that is life. Without darkness, the light is meaningless.

Life is rich and full of wonder. I hope you make time to get out there and experience it.

Many blessings to you all!

T. S. Mart and Mel Cabre
